Drain Repairs - Ground Movement
Leaking drain pipes is one of the common causes of subsidence in a property. The water escaping from the system will cause the soil beneath the building to soften and gradually wash away. When this occurs the movement of the building can lead to cracks appearing in the walls and some major repair costs.
Repairing cracked or damaged pipe work can be relatively simple if noticed early enough. Via a CCTV investigation, the damaged section of drainage can be identified and tested before it causes further problems. The most effective form of repair for a cracked pipe or displaced joint would be to install a structural resin liner to seal the pipe work and restore its structural integrity. No excavation works are required, meaning the repair is relatively cheap in comparison, and the works can be carried out in a matter of hours. Should the damage be too extensive however, excavation works may be required to cut out the damaged section and new pipe work installed.
